The Australian Association for the Study of Religion (AASR) is an interdisciplinary organisation whose mission is to foster the development of high quality scholarship about religion in Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region.

The Institute for Religion, Politics, and Society (IRPS) is pleased to host the 2016 annual meeting of the Australian Association for the Study of Religion. IRPS is an interdisciplinary research hub dedicated to advancing the study of religion in Australia. Engaging with eminent scholars from around the globe, IRPS examines the interplay between religion and social structures including economy, politics, and law.
