The 2022 AASR Conference will be held in Naarm-Melbourne, from Tues 29th November to Fri 2nd December, as part of the Congress for Humanities and Social Sciences, in partnership with a number of Associations and Centres.

Our main conference day will take place on Thursday 1 Dec, at The University of Melbourne (Parkville campus).
All presenters will be required to be members of the AASR by 25 November 2022. If you are not already a member, please click here. Members of the New Zealand Association for the Study of Religion are exempt from this requirement.

9am AASR HDR Event, How to Academic, with Dr Hannah Gould, Dr Debra McDougall and Associate Professor Anna Halafoff, The University of Melbourne

This event will be in the form of Q and A panel. It will be an opportunity to ask any questions about 'how to academic'. Get your curly questions about publications, funding, job applications and post docs ready!

In partnership with Australian and New Zealand Association of Theological Studies and University of Divinity. This event is will include two separate panels. AASR Open Sessions – Thurs 1 December | University of Melbourne
The AASR welcomes papers on any topic related to the study of religion for our open sessions. Individual paper proposals may be up to 250 words. Please email proposals to Anna Halafoff, by 14th October. Please include relevant affiliation and contact information in a single document.

All presenters will be required to be members of the AASR by 25 November 2022. Members of the New Zealand Association for the Study of Religion are exempt from this requirement.
